The program requirements consist of eight courses from the Body Harmonics Continuing Education curriculum. The course selection builds the scope of knowledge and practice specific to the needs of people as they grow older and include a variety of key considerations for active aging. One major focus is the human balance system, how it works, and how to improve function for overall independence and fall prevention.
Postural stability and sarcopenia are two other critical factors with an emphasis on how to build strength, support, flexibility, and agility safely. There are also specific courses dedicated to common degenerative conditions like osteoporosis and arthritis, as well as protocols for helping people undergoing joint replacement surgery.
