FOUNDER & DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION

I’ve worked in this field for over two decades, and what I like best is that the learning never stops. I love bearing witness to the process of building integrated strength, agility and power in physical ways and how this process affects mental and emotional wellbeing. “Movement heals” is one of my favourite quotations. Starting out, I thought these words sounded smart. Today I’m awed by their profundity.
As an educator, I have the privilege of teaching professionals, novice to expert, across many cultures and contexts. I’ve witnessed this field grow in sophistication and depth, and I marvel at the layers required to teach movement effectively. I always say, the key is taking complex concepts and making them simple and actionable. At Body Harmonics, we start with the science, then sprinkle in creativity and fun, so you experience movement and exercise in a way that challenges both body and mind. We ask you to pay attention to sensations in order to gain an understanding of how even a simple movement requires a chain reaction that can stretch from head to toe.
Simply put, I love what I do, and I have the utmost respect for my colleagues who constantly search for ways to be better. I can’t wait to see where the next two decades take us.
