What’s behind Body Harmonics Pilates Certification & Movement Education?
Our mission at Body Harmonics Education is to prepare students to become respected human movement professionals. We do this by providing students with the skills and knowledge to empower others towards greater wellbeing through Pilates & Movement. As a result we’re committed to the long-term success and wellbeing of our graduates and their clients.
The vision of Body Harmonics Education is to be a global leader in evidence-based, somatic-informed movement education for all. We aim to teach the world to move in greater harmony.
At Body Harmonics Education, we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive space in which to learn and grow. We value individual differences, knowledge acquisition, and the development of technical expertise and critical reasoning. And, we hold a deep respect for somatic education and experiential learning. Our motto, “meet the person where they are,” is woven into every aspect of our curriculum.
How we develop our curriculum
Evidence-based research and clinical best practices underpin the Body Harmonics Pilates & Movement Education curriculum. Our programs and courses were designed by experts in adult education, exercise science and the Pilates method. They comprise lectures, experiential labs, somatic learning, observation, practice, analysis and reflection—all imbued with a whole-person focus on helping clients feel, do and be their best. We teach students how to design group classes that build strong and resilient bodies and to work with clients one-on-one to meet their needs and goals, whether they be therapeutic or fitness-driven.
Our faculty and what we stand for
The Body Harmonics Education faculty is a diverse group of educators with a broad and deep knowledge and skill set—from Pilates to physiotherapy to exercise science to somatics to dance. They are committed to getting students ready for the real world, sharing their clinical and studio experiences to amplify the learning process, and providing meaningful support and mentorship along the way.
