Why Movement for Change?
Movement for Change is all about making it easier for EVERYONE to reap the benefits of Pilates & Movement mind-body conditioning. All while helping to raise much-needed funds for organizations that are breaking down barriers and addressing social issues like racism, discrimination and inequality head-on.
Movement for Change is an initiative of the BH Diversity Advisory Group with support and involvement from everyone at Body Harmonics.

Learn more about our work with Frontlines
On Tuesday, June 22, we held a Body Harmonics Movement for Change Pilates & Movement class live online in support of Frontlines, a wonderful organization in Toronto’s Weston area that has been supporting the needs of children and youth in the community for more than 35 years.
To those who attended and/or donated, thank you for making our event such a huge success! Because you showed up for change and helped us to raise $3,722 for this wonderful community-based charitable organization, they will have more funds to support their important work with children and youth in Toronto’s Weston area and beyond.
In the words of Frontlines Executive Director, Stachen Frederick:
“I wanna thank everyone that has come here today to engage into movement with a particular cause, and that cause being Frontlines (…) Please know that your donation today is going into an organization that will actually directly serve young people and we’ve been ranked by Toronto Foundation as one of the highest impact charities.”
For all of us at Body Harmonics, Movement for Change is not just about supporting organizations like Frontlines, it’s also about doing all that we can to make the health and wellness benefits of what we do more accessible — especially to those for whom the obstacles to participation are greatest. If this challenging year has taught us anything, it’s that when we pull together as a community, and in service to others, anything is possible. So, it’s with a strong sense of optimism that we look forward to exploring new and different ways to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
