Body Harmonics has been taking part in the Toronto Yoga Conference and Show the past several years. Each year we have a booth to meet and greet people, share exercises and answer questions about what we do – essentially move well. teach well. be well.
Margot McKinnon, Body Harmonics founder, also presents educational workshops on a wide variety of content. This year she presented four workshops: Cervical Spine Protocols, Arthritis, Osteoporosis and Core Systems.
This year we asked for comments and feedback from workshop participants at the Yoga Conference and were blown away. It’s nice to hear good feedback. When you hear it all at once, it’s overwhelmingly exciting.
We’d like to share some of the feedback we received from participants in Margot’s workshops. It gave us goosebumps.
“I have suffered from extreme neck, shoulder, and upper back pain for years as the result of a horse-riding accident. I’m a yoga teacher and Thai Massage practitioner, and these 2 hours helped me understand more about my own pain than any training or professionals I’ve seen to date. Thank you.” Heather
“Amazing! Margot was so prepared and thorough. The take-aways and practical applications were very dear. Left the workshop feeling lighter, more at ease and ready to help my students.” Allison
“Margot, your way of explaining the neck muscles and exercises was easily understood and full of practical ideas to use immediately — the 2 hours flew by so quickly. Thank you!” Veronika
“Margot is full of energy, optimism and information! Thanks!!” Jennifer
“Thank you for making this essential information on arthritis accessible and available – empowering for personal and professional use. It’s my 2nd class with you today – I loved it!” Phoebe
“Margot’s information is always so well written, detailed and useful. She packs in so much in her lectures and always leaves me with so many useful tools to pass onto my clients.” Margaret
“Great class – love that it is rooted in science!” Anna
“Thanks for a challenging, informative and well-presented workshop. I will be working hard to integrate this knowledge into yoga classes for seniors.” Malcom
“The cervical spine class was excellent. I learned numerous techniques to help my clients with neck injuries as well as techniques to support my own cervical health.” – JoAnne, R.M.T.
“Wow, I learned so much more about what you CAN do if you have osteoporosis!” – Barbara
“Very informative. I realized there are contraindications to what I’ve been told/taught. Margot knows her stuff and knows how to teach it in a way that most would understand. Thank you!” Lindsay
The main objective in the Body Harmonics Teacher Training program is to take complicated concepts and make them simple, accessible and easy to implement immediately. It’s so great to see so many participants walking away with these practical tools they’re excited to use.
Have you ever taken a workshop with Margot? If so, please share your feedback in the comments section below. She’d love to hear it.
