Simple desk exercises
New Year’s resolutions are a great way to re-focus our motivation for the coming year. Unfortunately, though, many of us set goals that are so ambitious we don’t end up sticking with them. And we feel disappointed if we don’t see immediate results. It’s the unfortunate consequence of living in a fast-paced world where everything around us seems to promote the concept of instant gratification.
If your New Year’s Resolution for 2020 is to go to the gym every day for two hours, learn a new language by the end of January or read a new book every day, more likely than not, you’re just going to end up burning yourself out or beating yourself up when your plans don’t work out.
Instead of setting enormous expectations this January, why not try to set sustainable (and attainable) goals for the year ahead?
To help you start small (and smart), Body Harmonics invites you to join in our our very simple desk exercises for your 2020 resolution: take just 10-15 minutes a day at work to get moving. Dedicating this small window of time each day for yourself will make a huge difference in your energy, your posture, your muscle function and your mood. The best part? You don’t need a gym membership, you don’t need any equipment, you don’t even have to leave your desk! Just make our Desk Sitter Series a part of your daily routine and see how much a small, steady commitment to movement can make a huge impact.
