Pilates Equipment Intensive - Teacher Training

This comprehensive Equipment Intensive program includes repertoires for Reformer, Cadillac and Chair. The course is approximately 400 hours in length (spread over a nine month period) and is divided into twelve weeks of classroom and practice hours. Following this there is a three month period devoted to practice teaching and self practice in preparation for final exams. With successful results you will be granted an Equipment Intensive Certificate.

* Most students need approximately 20 hours per week to fulfill all course requirements. Classroom hours account for eight of these hours so the remaining twelve are the responsibility of each student. This works out to a little more than 2 hours per day.

 

Lecture Series One to Six
  • 24 hours of lecture on applied anatomy and biomechanics, posture and movement analysis
  • 24 hours of exercise analysis
  • 35 hours of self practice
  • 40 hours of home study
Lecture Series Seven to Twelve
  • 24 hours of lecture on teaching methodology, group dynamics, client care, and class design
  • 24 hours of exercise analysis
  • 60 hours of practice teaching
  • 40 hours of home study
Additional Requirements Prior To Examination

2010 Course Dates and Classroom Hours in Toronto

Lectures and Exercise Analysis: September 1 to December 17, 2010
Lectures are held on Wednesdays 1:00pm to 5:15pm. Exercise Analysis sessions are held on Fridays 2:30pm to 6:30pm

All Practice Teaching and Self Practice hours must be completed by March 18, 2011

Written and Practical Exams TBA
