Program Highlights
Teachers-in-Training can expect comprehensive training in anatomy an biomechanics, postural and gait analysis, core stability systems, functional movement, balance and proprioceptive re-education, and injury post-rehabilitation. Our mandate is to help teachers-in-training learn to help their clients discover the limitless potential that optimal movement provides us.
Mat Work Intensive Program
Our Mat Work Intensive Program equips you with knowledge and skills to conduct mat classes in any setting with both novice and experienced participants. In three steps, spread over three weekends, you gain a clear biomechanical map within which to design mat classes that work for real people of all ages. What makes this Mat Work Certificate unique is an emphasis on core control systems, movement mechanics, easy-to-implement class design principles.

Reformer Intensive Program
Reformer Intensive is a three part training that occurs over three weekends. You learn the complete repertoire of Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Reformer exercises as well as modifications in every plane of movement for more targeted outcomes. Teaching methodolgoy for both group and one-on-one formats are addressed with an emphasis on improving form and function simultaneously. Lecture topics include: kinesiological principles, postural analysis, postural and movement impairments, contrainidications and client care.

Equipment Intensive Program (Reformer, Cadillac, Chair)
The Equipment Intensive Program includes 12 weeks of anatomy and biomechanics lectures and indepth exercise analysis for Reformer, Cadillac and Chair repertoires. The entire program takes nine months to complete and ensures that you have the versatile skills needed to work with a wide variety of movement impairments and postural deviations. The layered approach to movement and exercise analysis focuses on sytematic observation and intervention that helps build bodies from the inside out.

Continuing Education
Body Harmonics offers a full roster of professional development workshops throughout the year to help novice and experienced Pilates teachers alike refine their skills and stay up-to-date with current research and trends. Each course includes a theoretical framework, practical skill building exercises, as well as observation labs for movement analysis. Emphasis on immediate application of knowledge and skills is the signature of these professional development workshops.
